Radwanska upsets Zvonareva to win Mercury Insurance Open presented by Tri-Medical Center

Agnieszka Radwanska dominated top seed Vera Zvonareva 6-3, 6-4 to claim her first title in three years with victory Mercury Insurance Open presented by Tri-Medical Center.

Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik extended their winning streak to 14 matches in a row on Sunday with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears

Stepanek wins Legg Mason Tennis Classic

Radek Stepanek upset No. 1 seed Gael Monfils 6-4, 6-4 in the final of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic to capture his fifth singles title.

No. 3 seeds Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic clinched their first team title defeating Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau 6-7(3), 7-6(6), 10-7.

 Haase beats Montanes to win Kitzbuehel title     

Robin Haase of the Netherlands defeated Albert Montanes of Spain 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 to win his first career ATP title at the Bet-at-Home Cup.

Fourth seeds Daniele Bracciali and Santiago Gonzalez captured their first ATP World Tour doubles title together the Bet-At-Home Cup Kitzbühel as they defeated Brazilians Franco Ferreiro and Andre Sa 7-6(1), 4-6, 11-9 in the final.

 

Azarenka won Sony Ericsson Open title for the second time

Russian Maria Sharapova 6-1 6-4 to win the Sony Ericsson Open for the second time, she previously won the title on 2009 (defeated Serena Williams).

Former world number one Sharapova made 43 unforced errors,giving more points to Azarenka. Sharapova made a comeback in the second set when she saved two championship points at 5-3.

Then Sharapova broke Azarenka for the fourth time, when the Belarussian double faulted on break point, to move within a game at 5-4. But Azarenka produced a backhang winner down the line to set up her third championship point and finally clinched the title.

Azarenka’s victory, her sixth career title, will lift her to sixth in the world
rankings next week—equalling her career best standing.

This is 0-3 finals for Sharapova at Key Biscayne.

Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia and Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland fight back from an early 4-2 deficit - as well as 4-2 down in the tie-break - to take the first set,but suddenly lossing the second set with 2-6. Before closing out the match in a tie-break, 7-6(5), 2-6, 10-8.

Kuznetsova wins the Mercury Insurance Open

Svetlana Kuznetsova overcame mid-match nerves to win against Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 6-7 6-3 for the Mercury Insurance Open presented by Tri-Medical Center title.

“I think I did choke for the very first time in my life,” Kuznetsova said. “I never had this choke before. I don’t know why it happened. Here I couldn’t make a ball.”

“After a match like this, it’s always disappointing when it’s a long, very tough match,” Radwanska said. “I think it’s much easier to lose 6-1, 6-1 and have no chance. But if it’s a match like this, it hurts.”

No.4 seeds Maria Kirilenko and Zheng Jie upsets No.2 seeds Lisa Raymond and Rennae Stubbs in the final of Mercury Insurance Open, 64 64.
