Maria Sharapova rally from 6-4, 2-0 down for a 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-3 victory over Jelena Jankovic, at two hours and 49 minutes the longest final on the WTA all season for the championship of the Western & Southern Open.

 

Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova won their first title of the year defeating Natalie Grandin and Vladimira Uhlirova 6-4, 3-6, 11-9.

Murray Wins Second Cincinnati Crown

World No. 4 Andy Murray won his second title at the Western & Southern Open, defeating top seed Novak Djokovic, Murray led 6-4, 3-0 before Djokovic retired with a shoulder injury.

Third seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes won their third title of the season edging No. 4 seeds Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic 7-6(4), 7-6(2) in the Western & Southern Open final.

Novak Djokovic staged his second comeback victory over top-ranked Rafael Nadal, to win the Sony Ericsson Open title, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4).

With this win Djokovic earned his second Key Biscayne title, he won in 2007 the biggest victory of his career that time.

“Such a close match,” the Serb said. “To win against the No. 1 player of the
world in a tiebreak in the third set, it’s just incredible.”

Nadal fell to 0-3 in Key Biscayne finals.

“What he’s doing is unbelievable,” Nadal said. “First thing, he’s very good;
second thing, he’s playing with big confidence. When you’re winning, it’s easier to keep winning.”

Third seeded Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes claimed their first title together at the Sony Ericsson Open overcoming a first-set deficit to defeat No. 2 seeds Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor 6-7(5), 6-2, 10-5

Robin Soderling takes sixth ATP title at BNP Paribas Masters

Robin Soderling claimed his BNP Paribas Masters title with 6-1 7-6 defeat of local favourite Gael Monfils in Paris.

Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi secured their eighth ATP doubles titles with a 7-5, 7-5 win over unseeded pairing Mark Knowles and Andy Ram.

Nadal wins Monte Carlo masters title again

Nadal wins his 6th straight Monte Carlo Masters, defeating Fernando Verdasco 6-0, 6-1.

“Sorry for today,” Nadal said to a smiling Verdasco during interview as Verdasco reply “I hope one day Rafa gets tired of winning here,”

“Last year I didn’t play well but won; this year the level is completely different,” Nadal said. “I have been playing well since the start of the season.”
