Nadal extends Monte Carlo Masters title into 7

“To start the clay season like this is fantastic, but it’s more fantastic to win Monte Carlo another time,”

The top-ranked Rafael Nadal won Monaco clay-court for the 37th straight time, where he has not lost since 2003.  It was his 44th career title.

This was his first tournament victory since October, ending a run of three consecutive defeats in title matches.

Rafael Nadal won his seventh straight Monte Carlo Masters title by beating David Ferrer 6-4, 7-5 in an all-Spanish final.

Mike and Bob Bryan linched their 70th tour-level team title and second Monte Carlo Master title, with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over unseeded South American pairing Juan Ignacio Chela and Bruno Soares.
