Chela captures BCR Open Romania

Juan Ignacio Chela defeated Spanish qualifier Pablo Andujar 7-5, 6-1 to win the BCR Open Romania for his sixth career title.

“It was an unbelievable week winning in both singles and doubles. I didn’t expect that,”   Chela said. “The beginning of the season was pretty tough for me so I’m very happy that  I’m playing at such a great level now. I enjoy the circuit a lot.”

Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela and Lukasz Kubot of Poland saved two championship points to defeat Spanish No. 2 seeds Marcel Granollers and Santiago Ventura 6-2, 5-7, 13-11 in the BCR Open Romania final.

Simon wins Open de Moselle title

Eighth-seeded Gilles Simon of France beat qualifier Mischa Zverev of Germany 6-3, 6-2 to win the Open de Moselle and clinch his seventh career title.

Dustin Brown and Rogier Wassen defeated No. 2 seeds Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares 6-3, 6-3.

Kleybanova wins Hansol Korea Open title

Fifth seeded Alisa Kleybanova of Russia won the Hansol Korea Open beating the Czech Republic’s Klara Zakopalova 6-1, 6-3.

Julia Goerges and Polona Hercog won the doubles title with a 63 64 victory over No.4 seed Natalie Grandin and Vladimira Uhlirova.

Kudryavtseva wins Tashkent Open

Alla Kudryavtseva has won her first WTA Tour title, beating Elena Vesnina 6-4, 6-4 in an all-Russian final at the Tashkent Open.

Alexandra Panova and Tatiana Poutchek defeated Alexandra Dulgheru and Magdalena Rybarikova, 63 64. It was just the second time they played together.
