Stakhovsky wins Pilot Pen title

Ninth seed Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukrainian defeated fifteenth seed Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to win the Pilot Pen Tennis title, the wins improved his perfect record in ATP World Tour finals to 4-0.

In the men’s doubles final, Robert Lindtstedt of Sweden and Horia Tecau of Romania defeated Rohan Bopanna of India and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan 6-4, 7-5 for the title.

Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki won her third title of the year, by beating Vera Zvonareva 6-3, 6-2 at the finals of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank the match lasted just 74 minutes.

In the semifinals  Caroline Wozniacki beat Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-2, 6-3, and Vera Zvonareva advanced when her opponent Victoria Azarenka, retired with a blister on her left foot.  Vera Zvonareva led 7-6, 1-0.

Clijsters wins Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open

"I thought I was hitting well from the baseline with her but my serve wasn't working well. During the delay I had to regroup and refocus, and when we came back to the court I played aggressively and turned it around. I'm really happy to win."
